Let's Write

Did You Forget?

God told me to not neglect this platform. This blog was my only means of expressing myself once upon a time, it was my saving grace. It was what made me feel 100% myself. And though I inch towards feeling that within myself with the help of His Holy Spirit, I don’t want to neglect the beautiful, small beginnings.

I just watched a sermon titled: ‘Marked’ by Pastor Michael Todd of Transformation Church. And I was highly triggered by one of the incredible points the Holy Spirit made through him:

“If you’re marked by God, you’re anointed before you are positioned. Therefore you need to make an influence even where you are”

Over the years I’ve gone back and forth with understanding why it is I am on this planet and what God wants to use me to do. I’ve been blessed to fully understand my purpose and the call He has upon my life, but because there is clarity there now, does not mean I am entitled to forget about this platform. In fact, it’s the more reason why I need to continue writing, and learning and growing. Because God has asked me to use every single gift He has placed upon my life to bring Him glory and when God says something – he is being 100% serious about it. Therefore, who am I to disobey?

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)

I want to use this opportunity to make anyone reading this my accountability partner. I invite you to keep encouraging me, triggering me and in many ways forcing me to continue to keep this platform alive. (A huge S/O goes to my beautiful friend & sister-in-Christ Ololade Olagunju for being all of this for me and more. Please check out her incredible, powerful blog here.)

So this post was actually meant to be about my increasing adoration for the best book that’s ever been written, the Bible. However, I am excited that you’d have to hear more about this adoration at a later stage. This is because it simply means I have decided to not turn back and to keep writing because I know God likes it it and I simply want to adhere to and do every and anything He likes – because He is worthy of my love and adoration. Plain fact.

“If you love me, keep my commandments.” ~ John 14:15

Before I go, I just would like to introduce a new feature I want to add as I continue my journey to soak myself in all things Jesus related:

This basically will refer to a song I have discovered which has become a recurrent mantra and is one which would’ve most likely been playing in the background as I type a post. I call it a ‘Sound of Jericho’ because I believe God loves to hear music and praise and worship and so music that glorifies Him not only makes Him happy but can have a huge impact in allowing those walls in your life, those chains that hold you down – to        F A L L.

“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? (Jer 32:27)

So, without further ado, the #SOUNDOFJERICHO for this post is: ‘Into the Deep (Live)’ by Citipointe Live. You can listen to it here:

God bless you as you listen!

Peace & Love,

My thoughts are best expressed by writing.
So that's what I do - I write.

It's how I make sense of it all.
My prayer is that someone somewhere is blessed or is able to relate to what I write.

"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them..." ~ Romans 12:6
