You’ll get there in the end

For anyone who feels like all their efforts are in vain, or like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel – I want you to know this is the greatest fallacy you could ever believe.

As much as this may sound like a cliché, your story isn’t over. It is truly just beginning.

I’ve always been into the arts – reading/writing/dancing/styling outfits from day. But I always looked at these as hobbies rather than career prospects.

So when I gained an internship at Genevieve magazine this summer (my favourite magazine growing up!!) you can only imagine how ecstatic I was to see my dreams of working within the editorial field come to fruition. Yet I still doubted I’d see my work published. I doubted I could refer to it as legitimate ‘work experience’ cause everyone else seemed to be working at this law firm or that big bank.
However, I had the time of my life. I was blessed to connect with beautiful souls and ultimately God saw to it that my prayer of seeing my name printed & published in a public magazine and one of the leading magazines in Nigeria and the whole of Africa, would come to pass.

Hold onto your dreams – they’re relevant, you’re relevant.

PS: if you can, make sure you cop the October issue of Genevieve magazine ✨

Peace & Love,

Xx
