Let's Write

Mind, Body, Soul

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. – Jeremiah 55:8

Okay so I know there’s a whole thing about not looking to zodiac signs for confirmation of anything and I definitely don’t as God is my answer to all uncertainty. However I can’t help at being interested at the accuracy expressed in specific qualities of an Aries woman – especially from the header photo that’s reminded me to remain ME in the face of various situations that occur in my life.

Recently I’ve been thinking about the importance of making HEALTHY connections. I don’t know if any of you would remember but I posted a video a while back of an interview Kirk Franklin did with The Breakfast Club where he discussed various issues – one of them being the importance of not establishing a physical relationship with people but ensuring there’s a balance and connecting with them on a spiritual level.

I’ve found that this is really difficult. I’m not gonna lie – kissing guys and all that goes with what one might seem’physical’ (depending on your level) is fun. But to a certain extent. It is so incredibly easy to get lost in the fun of this and forget that if you’re like me and have already set your sights on a LONG TERM relationship, then a connection needs to be made with the

Mind • Body • Soul.

Each of them need to be balanced with the mind coming first and for me I’m finding that can only be achieved if I view you as a friend first – a friend I can actually hold an intellectual conversation with and learn from. Someone who adds to your growth and stimulates your mind.
Without saying too much, this is what I want as a I rebuild and recover from the hype that is ‘physical.’ I want to connect with people and the only way I can do that efficiently is if I connect with God first and ask him to lead me to the right people who will fill the void I seem to be feeling these days.
I’ve laughed it off and claimed that I seem to have developed FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) but in all honestly, it’s more of a fear of being lonely. Sometimes it takes being alone and crying unto God to know that it’s okay to be alone with your thoughts, it’s okay to retreat and take a few steps back from a relationship you assumed was going full speed ahead, it’s okay to STOP and reevaluate. The good things in life come to those who wait.
So hold onto your blessings and wait for them to manifest, they’re closer than you think.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future -Jeremiah 29:11

My thoughts are best expressed by writing.
So that's what I do - I write.

It's how I make sense of it all.
My prayer is that someone somewhere is blessed or is able to relate to what I write.

"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them..." ~ Romans 12:6
