Growing Up

I never for once felt like I was going to reach a stage in my life where I’d feel mature and happy with my age. But for the first time ever, God seems to be giving me peace in terms of my age and how I react to situations differently. I’m not as erratic or nervous as I once was and even though those characteristics are still there as they take some time to completely squash, I feel confident that going to University would help that.

I’ve been watching this show called ‘Summer Break’ recently and as cheesy or staged as it may be at times it’s truly given me a nice outlook on the future. Basically, the synopsis follows teens who have all graduated and are spending their last summer together before they embark on a new adventure elsewhere. I’m able to relate so easily because this is exactly where I am at this point in my life and though I may get nervous or scared of uni, I’m more-so excited to see what it holds. I’m excited to be educated in a field I’ve always had interest in. I’m excited to meet a new pool of people and make connections, I’m excited to get involved with the school itself -(University of Warwick for those who don’t know to study Law with a year of studying abroad). Basically, I just feel overly optimistic and excited and thought I should share those feelings.

Whatever stage you’re at in life, there’s a reason YOU’RE experiencing it and not anyone else.

Embrace your age. Embrace your journey. Embrace your story.
