Let's Write

Anne Frank

So I was looking through my blog the other day, and I noticed that I’ve never expressed my love and admiration for Anne Frank.

Anyone who knows me knows how much of an inspiration she is to me. I don’t think I fully understand it myself but somehow having a poster of her innocent, child-like face hanging in my dorm room is in no way weird to me. In fact, it adds a soothing and peaceful aura that I feel is needed in an A2 Student’s room.

I first heard about her in Year 3. I remember she was a topic in our history syllabus due to the fact that we were studying about World War II. At the tender age of 8, I became so interested in knowing everything about this girl and I still don’t know exactly why. Maybe it’s because she was so young when she died, or that her words recorded in her diary ( which I’ve bought twice and tried to finish reading a trillion times) were so profound and mature for a young 13-16 year old. All I know is that she as a person touched me, and taught me how to appreciate life.

My thoughts are best expressed by writing.
So that's what I do - I write.

It's how I make sense of it all.
My prayer is that someone somewhere is blessed or is able to relate to what I write.
