‘Give, and it shall come back to you…’

I felt convicted by this because sometimes my own needs tend to overshadow the needs of others.

Take yesterday evening for example. So my friends and I were on our way home from a graduation and there was this guy who seemed completely confused concerning his whereabouts. He asked us for directions but we had no clue and so directed him towards officials who could help. However, I will admit I did feel really sorry for him but I could feel my tiredness and need for sleep battling this empathy and if I’m being completely honest, it won. It wasn’t until one of my friends exclaimed that she felt SO bad that I realised how selfish my first thoughts were and I had to take myself back to the focus of ‘WWJD’ – What Would Jesus Do?

So it’s ironic how this is the message I received today. I feel it’s yet another wake-up call, reminding me that my life is not always the top priority.

Peace & Love,

T
